CalNASP

Archery is a sport that everyone can enjoy and volunteers with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife get the opportunity to pass on their skills to the next generation of archers. As part of the California National Archery in the Schools Program, volunteer instructors offer archery training directly to school educators—who will then return to their own school campuses and teach the program to their students. The innovative target-archery program is offered during physical education classes that start in elementary school and continue through the high school years. Teachers come away inspired by the quality volunteers who have gifted them a new sport they can introduce to their students.
